In the footage, John Haubert is shown allegedly striking the man with a pistol until his head was bloodied and swollen. Haubert is facing charges of attempted first-degree assault, second-degree assault, felony menacing, official oppression and first-degree official misconduct. The beating occurred during an arrest when two men who were with victim Kyle Vinson were shown fleeing the scene. Soon after the two fled, Haubert allegedly wrestled Vinson to the ground, striking him until Vinson yelled, “You’re killing me....

The pope’s opinion of such upstarts is no better than their opinion of him. John Paul alternately belittles the Protestants as no-account “sects” and denounces them as “ravenous wolves . . . causing discord and division in our communities.” No one knows exactly how many Protestants there are in Latin America – some estimates run from 40 million to 60 million-but everyone agrees the number is exploding....

The Bengals on Wednesday announced they have placed the 2017 first-round pick on injured reserve and signed receiver Stanley Morgan from the practice squad. Ross suffered the injury during the Bengals’ 27-3 loss to the Steelers on Monday. He was seen in a sling on the sideline during the game and did not return after suffering the injury early in the fourth quarter. The Indiana musician, 52, is now in federal custody and faces six charges. The FBI has publicly confirmed that Schaffer was allegedly in a group of rioters that used bear spray on law enforcement officials in Washington D.C. during the insurrection. The Indianapolis branch of the FBI confirmed the arrest via Twitter: “Jon Schaffer, Columbus, IN, has been arrested in connection to Jan 6 incident at the U.S. Capitol. Schaffer faces 6 charges including engaging in an act of physical violence in a Capitol building....
