The Orioles beat the New York Yankees 2-0 Saturday on the strength of starting pitcher Kevin Gausman’s near-flawless display. Gausman tossed six scoreless innings, giving up just two hits and striking out eight to improve to 7-10 with a 3.58 ERA on the season. After falling to 3-10, Gausman has won his last four starts and has not allowed a run in his last three, extending his scoreless streak to 19 innings....

The three-hour practice was longer than usual because drivers are running on tires never before used in the series. McCarthy was formally requested to provide the nine-member panel with text messages sent between him and Trump in the days leading up to the riots. Chairman Representative Bennie Thompson requested the messages in a letter addressed to McCarthy. “We also must learn about how the President’s plans for January 6th came together, and all the other ways he attempted to alter the results of the election,” wrote Thompson. The Michigan coach is interested in the Raiders’ head coaching position, where he initially began his career in 2003. Special counsel Robert Mueller’s 448-page report released in 2019 revealed the findings of the two-year investigation that looked into whether members of the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election. The probe also focused on Manafort’s work for Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs while he was Trump’s campaign chairman. The report also found that Manafort told Konstantin Kilimnik, a man with suspected connections to Russian intelligence services, about important battleground states in the 2016 race, including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Michigan....
