ESPN reported Saturday that the Colts talked with Gruden about the position. According to a report by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Gruden is suing the NFL, commissioner Roger Goodell and 20 unnamed defendants, claiming that “through a malicious and orchestrated campaign,” Goodell and the NFL worked to “destroy” Gruden’s “career and reputation.” The lawsuit claims that the identities of the 20 other defendants are currently unknown to the plaintiffs but asks that the court amend the complaint when their names become known....

According to NFL Media, Oakland head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock “sent their scouts home for the weekend and they are not expected to return by draft time.” According to the report, Gruden and Mayock “don’t know who to trust and wanted to clear the room.” That report prompted rampant speculation. Are Gruden and Mayock concerned about a mole in the Raiders organization, someone possibly passing along the team’s draft strategy to another team or teams?...
