She said in the video: “I’m over living in a dictatorship that we call Michigan” and “I do not like living in a place where they tell me what I can and cannot do.” Her comments come on the second day of Michigan’s three-week COVID-19 “pause,” which banned indoor dining at restaurants, shut down in-person classes for college and high school students, and banned all attendance of sporting events....

There’s been a lot of talk among baseball fans, and many want his plaque to feature his signature backward-cap look. Many thought the main hurdle would be the Hall of Fame not accepting it, but Hall president Jeff Idelson said he’s open to the backward-hat plaque. Videos of the flooding from early morning Thursday and Wednesday night have begun circulating on social media as residents battle with fast moving water through their streets. Police believe seven operatives have been sent into Kenya to carry out attacks on several key counties. Both Kwale and Kilifi counties are located along the country’s coast on the Indian Ocean and both border Mombasa, Kenya’s second-largest city by population, to the southwest and north. Police told media that they believe the al-Shabaab militants intend to carry out attacks on several important institutions in the two counties and Mombasa, including Moi International Airport, Kenya Ports Authority and the Standard Gauge Railway terminus....

The reigning NBA MVP will sit out Friday’s game in LA against the Lakers with a right ankle sprain he suffered Thursday night at Golden State. Thunder coach Scott Brooks told reporters (via The Associated Press) that Durant was “a little sore” after he woke up Friday. Durant was hurt at the end of the first half Thursday when he stepped on Marreese Speights’ foot. He did not return. X-rays were negative....
