The Democratic president initially set a goal of 100 million doses to be administered in the first 100 days of his tenure. He upped that to 200 million—and hit that target on his 92nd day in the White House. After that, talk turned to a benchmark of 70 percent of the United States’ adult population receiving at least one vaccine dose by July 4—a goal which has been missed. According to Centers for Disease Control Figures, 67 percent of adults across the country have had at least one dose....

Price said North Korean cyber activities pose a significant threat to the U.S. and its allies, and said the administration was “carefully evaluating and looking at” the problem. The Justice Department announced charges against Park Jin Hyok, Jon Chang Hyok and Kim Il on Wednesday, accusing the three men of trying to steal $1.3 billion in cryptocurrencies and traditional currencies from banks and other victims. Park had already been charged in 2018 for his alleged involvement in the hacking of Sony pictures in 2014, the WannaCry ransomware, and the theft of $81m from Bangladesh’s central bank in 2016....

If President Joe Biden’s party loses control of both chambers, he could end up facing impeachment after several Republicans indicated that GOP majorities would move in that direction. In January, Republican Senator Ted Cruz said there would be “multiple grounds” for impeaching Biden, while in April, Republican Representative Ken Buck told a virtual meeting that the House Judiciary Committee would “hold the hearings to determine whether impeachment is appropriate. A Hill-HarrisX poll conducted from November 16 to 18 showed that Biden’s approval rating now stands at 44 percent - up two percent since the last Hill-HarrisX poll in October. However, the president scored relatively poorly on issues including immigration, the economy and foreign policy but his strongest issue was his handling of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While 45 percent of respondents said they disapproved of Biden, 11 percent said they neither approved nor disapproved....

On Monday, Biden’s lawyers confirmed that around 10 documents were found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington D.C. on November 2, just days before the midterm elections. Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president, said in a statement to CBS News, which first reported on the discovery, that none of the materials were being sought by the National Archives and that Biden’s legal team were co-operating with the Archives and the Department of Justice process to ensure that any “Obama-Biden Administration records are appropriately in the possession of the Archives....

The latest survey by Reuters and Ipsos found that Biden led Trump by six points among registered voters, with 45 percent backing the challenger and 39 percent favoring the incumbent. The former vice president also had a four-point lead among Independent voters. A third of the group (33 percent) said they would back Biden, while 29 percent said the same of Trump. When the same poll was published last week, the presumptive Democratic nominee had a nine-point lead on the president, with 47 percent of polled voters saying they would back Biden as only 38 percent opted for Trump....

While Trump attracted around 24,800 new Twitter followers on Thursday, Biden’s profile gained more than 257,900 new followers, according to Factba.se, an analytics platform that has been monitoring and archiving the current president’s online activity. On Facebook on Thursday, Biden’s page “likes” expanded by over 39,000, according to statistics from social media tracking platform Social Blade, which noted that Trump’s Facebook account had pulled in a total of 47,158 new likes the same day....

The president shared more than 40 posts in the space of two hours, with a mixture of tweets and retweets, touching upon topics such a stimulus and dismissing allegations of Russian collusion with his 2016 campaign. Biden said that under the President’s tax policies, economic stewardship and erratic leadership, the middle class people of Pennsylvania have suffered. He pointed out that the rising cost of health care and college and housing have cut out the economic “breathing room” that once defined life in the middle class. “This administration has no idea what hard-working, decent, ordinary Americans are going through,” Biden said during his speech, lamenting the struggles of middle class workers to make ends meet in the current economical atmosphere....

The tense exchange happened during Biden’s solo news conference following his first face-to-face meeting with Putin as president. Biden signed the law, which includes some safety measures intended to prevent school shootings, last month following the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas. The law is lauded by the Biden administration as progress toward stricter gun laws, but some gun control advocates have said it does not go far enough to prevent mass shootings. Biden held a ceremony to celebrate the law’s passage on Monday. Oliver’s son, Joaquin Oliver, was one of the 17 students killed in Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting....

White House press secretary Jen Psaki declined to comment on Biden’s plans during a reporter briefing Wednesday afternoon, but a senior administration official told Newsweek that the most immediate executive directives that Biden is expected to sign on Thursday would direct the Department of Justice (DOJ) to spend the coming weeks developing plans to address “ghost guns,” gun modifications and measures that states can adopt. The executive orders are part of an overall push that Biden is expected to unveil today as he moves to “address the gun violence public health epidemic,” the official said....

This isn’t the first time fans are hearing rumors that the zoo is haunted. Apparently, the it was built on a Native American burial ground—because of course it was. Jeff Lowe, who was the last owner of the zoo before the location was shut down, explained the alleged situation to TMZ in June.
