The double-counted ballots were discovered by a group of voters who are suing Fulton County election officials in the hope of conducting an inspection of some 147,000 absentee ballots. The lawsuit alleges fraud in the county’s presidential election. The duplicated write-in vote for West was a telltale sign that the ballots had been counted twice. The voter who wrote West’s name also appears to have written in actor and former wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for vice president....

“My team is filing a Motion for Stay to delay the inauguration for the Office of Attorney General next week until we resolve all matters regarding the potential discrepancies in the recount and litigation,” Hamadeh, the Republican nominee for Arizona’s Attorney General race, announced in a tweet. “We request @GeneralBrnovich remain in office until all issues are resolved.” The tweet by Hamadeh comes shortly after a recount in the attorney general race confirmed that Mayes was the winner....

The announcement was made by CNN reporter Kate Sullivan, who wrote on Twitter about being told that “Kari Lake is considering running for the US Senate seat held by Kyrsten Sinema in 2024.” Lake has not confirmed nor denied Sullivan’s reporting, but a Twitter profile that claims to act as the official campaign account for the Arizona Republican, Kari Lake War Room, wrote that the reporter got it wrong....

Lake said during an interview with Jovan Hutton Pulitzer that she and her legal team were examining options to proceed with the case, which includes taking it to the state Supreme Court or asking for a new trial in which they can present all 10 counts she originally cited in her lawsuit. “[It] could be a remedy to give us a new trial.
