Chippewa Falls Police Chief Matthew Kelm said the arrest was made in the City of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, on Tuesday evening, a day after Peters’ body was found near a walking trail. She was reported missing Sunday evening after not returning from a visit to her aunt’s house. Kelm said the juvenile suspect was not a stranger to Peters, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Kelm added that he believes there is no longer any danger to the public....

A CBS News/YouGov poll conducted January 12 to 14 found that Biden and Harris each had a 44 percent approval rating, while 56 percent of respondents disapproved. The results were published on Thursday, a year after Biden and Harris took office, and follows the president saying Harris will be his running mate in 2024. Researchers surveyed 2,094 U.S. adults and has a margin of error of +/-2.5 percent. The survey also found that Biden and Harris enjoy virtually the same approval rating among women, with 48 percent of women polled approving of Harris, and 47 percent approving of Biden....

Asked how she plans to extend key provisions of the bill, like the Child Tax Credit, without Manchin’s help in a divided Senate, Harris told CBS’ Margaret Brennan, “You don’t give up. That’s how we do it. We don’t give up. That’s how.” “I think the stakes are too high for this to be in any way about any specific individual,” Harris said on Monday. Her remarks come just a day after Manchin told Fox News that he would not back Biden’s spending plan over concerns of inflation, the COVID-19 pandemic and national debt....

Kevin Kietzman of WHB 810 has been suspended indefinitely after he criticized Reid’s handling of the Tyreek Hill situation during a segment Monday. Kietzman then brought up Reid’s son, Garrett, who died of a heroin overdose in 2012. “The thing is, (the Chiefs) probably think (Reid) can fix (Hill), but they thought they could fix him before and they failed,” he said. “Andy Reid does not have a great record of fixing players....

The Associated Press reported that the GOP-controlled legislature opened the session to discuss workers claiming religious exemptions to President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates. Republican leaders in the state Senate included the unemployment proposal in the same bill as the religious exemption proposal. However, House Republicans were unsure about it, so they left it out of the legislation. House and Senate negotiators will draft the final version of the bill Monday or Tuesday....
