Love, who has averaged 25.6 points and 13.3 rebounds this season, will start for the first time in his career. He has been named an All-Star two previous times but never as a starter. He overtook Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard for the final spot in the frontcourt.
Love also is set to shoot in the 3-point contest for a second time. He took part in the event in 2012.
