According to Cleveland Plain Dealer reporter Chris Haynes, Love missed Wednesday morning’s team shootaround with flu-like symptoms.

Love and the Cavs face a tough matchup against the Atlanta Hawks (17-7), who have won 10 of their last 11, in a battle of the No. 3 and No. 5 teams in the Eastern Conference.

If Love is unable to suit up, Tristan Thompson would likely gain the start and defend All-Star Paul Millsap. Thompson has one start on the year for the Cavs, when he scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 109-97 victory over the Pacers on Nov. 29.

Love was dominant in his last outing, recording 22 points on 7-of-14 shooting (including four threes) with a season-high 18 rebounds, five assists and four steals in Monday’s win over the Hornets. Through 23 games this season, Love is averaging 17.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
