With Thunder medical personnel present, Durant’s surgery was conducted by Dr. Robert Anderson at the OrthoCarolina Foot and Ankle Clinic in Charlotte, N.C. Durant’s injury will be re-evaluated in six weeks, when further decisions will be made.
In the meantime, the Thunder will have to play without the 2013-14 MVP, who averaged 32.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists. Russell Westbrook, Reggie Jackson and Steven Adams must pick up the slack until then.
