Kevin Durant Plans To Play In 2016 Olympics

Durant said he will join USA Basketball in Rio for the Olympics in 2016, which will be his free-agent summer. Players such as Kevin Love have held off Team USA obligations because of unsettled team situations, and Durant could end up doing the same in the long run.

“Seriously, to be honest, I was like ‘(expletive) ‘em.’ You can write that, too. Seriously, though. I’m just going to be me, man, and that’s how I felt.”

If the practices and shootarounds were too much for Durant during the Nike bidding war, then free agency could be even harder. While the Thunder appear to be the frontrunners, Durant will have suitors from all over the league.
