So what’s changed? Durant was candid about admitting what was going on a year ago when asked about it Saturday during his availability with the media.
“I just got out of my own head and got out of my own way and stopped thinking it was even a thing, you know? I feel like I f—d that up," Durant said. “I feel like I just made it a thing when I shouldn’t have been. So it’s cool to kind of get past that and appreciate these guys for who they are and what they do. And it’s all love at the end of the day.”
Westbrook was also asked about his developing relationship with his former teammate.
“[We’re] communicating, and that’s about it,” Westbrook said. “All the other stuff is irrelevant. Just keeping it cool. Talking when we need to.”
