The Big 12 will have its 10 teams face off against 10 SEC teams in the Big 12/SEC Challenge on January 30 so they don’t get shuffled and lost in the bustle of November/December rivalry games and the end of college football, ESPN.com reported.

Highlighting the conference matchups is preseason No. 3 Kentucky vs. No. 5 Kansas. Even though Kentucky is losing several star players to the NBA Draft, look for Tyler Ulis and Marcus Lee to step up into their new starting roles. Kansas retained Perry Ellis, Wayne Selden Jr. and Frank Mason III from last season’s roster.

Alabama, Mississippi State, Missouri and South Carolina will sit this one out for the SEC.

Game times and TV coverage are to be announced.
