According to ESPN, UCLA head coach Steve Aflord said both teams are working on finalizing a home-and-home series deal that would pit Kentucky against UCLA beginning in 2015. Westwood, Calif., will play host to the series’ first game on Dec. 3, 2015, and Rupp Arena will reciprocate on a date in 2016 that has yet to be determined.
Alford, who has recruited heavily the past two seasons, is looking to up the ante for his team’s out-of-conference slate. The Bruins have already agreed to be part of the 2015 Maui Invitational alongside Kansas, Indiana, St. John’s, UNLV, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and Chaminade. They also have games scheduled at Gonzaga and one in Brookyln against the Tar Heels early next season.
UPDATE: Kentucky has confirmed the home-and-home series.
