Perkins was traded to the Jazz on Thursday in a three-team deal that sent guard Reggie Jackson to the Pistons and Enes Kanter, Steve Novak, Kyle Singler and D.J. Augustin to the Thunder. According to Young, Perkins’ decision came down to two teams.

Young also reports the chance to win a championship along with an opportunity for playing time is what attracted Perkins to Cleveland. Since the trade, the Cavs had reportedly been the front-runners to land the 30-year-old center.

Perkins, who will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer, will add valuable depth behind Timofey Mozgov, who the Cavs acquired from Denver earlier this season.

With the Thunder this season, Perkins averaged four points and 5.5 rebounds in 19.2 minutes per game.
