On Sunday morning, Deadspin.com released six additional minutes of audio of a racially charged discussion between Los Angeles Clippers owner Sterling and V Stiviano, the woman at the center of the controversy. In the extended version, the two talk about two-time All-Star Kemp.

Kemp addressed the controversy before Sunday's home game against the Colorado Rockies. Here are some of the highlights, via Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times:

• Kemp said it would be "tough" for him to attend Clippers games;

• He said "Racism is kind of old;

• He bad for Clippers stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, who are friends.

• Laughing, he said he never expected having his picture taken with Stiviano "would lead to this."

Here's the discussion of Kemp from the Deadspin audio:

Sterling: Then why did you start saying that you didn’t? You just said that you didn’t remove them. You didn’t remove every—

V Stiviano: I didn’t remove Matt Kemp and Magic Johnson, but I thought—

Sterling: Why?

V: I thought Matt Kemp is mixed, and he was OK, just like me.

Sterling: OK.

V: He’s lighter and whiter than me.

Sterling: OK.

V: I met his mother.

Sterling: You think I’m a racist, and wouldn’t—

V: I don’t think you’re a racist.

Sterling: Yes you do. Yes you do.

DAVIS COULD BE OUT AWHILE

Baltimore Orioles 1B Chris Davis will be eligible to come off the disabled list on May 12, but the team isn't optimistic it will have its slugger back that soon.

Davis was placed on the 15-day DL with a strained left oblique Sunday after the team received the results of an MRI Saturday.

"Chris has never had this before, which is good, but he doesn't have anything to gauge it by," manager Buck Showalter told MASNSports.com . "If you go through the studies through the years, there's three types — low, medium and high. I'm not sure the terminology, but there are three levels of it. Where they think it is is not the highest level.

"The average time is a pretty definitive time that's kind of followed through the years. It depends on where we caught it. But to answer your question, I'm hopeful (Davis can return after 15 days). I'm not expecting it. It wouldn't be very smart to think it's a given.

Davis led the majors last season with 53 home runs and 138 RBIs. He has only two homers this season, and it will be a while before he gets to add to that total.

It is uncertain when the injury occurred, although Davis suspected the muscles in his left side might have been weakened when he dived for groundballs in Boston and Toronto before the Orioles returned home to face the Royals.

On Friday night, Davis winced after hitting a flyball in the third inning. He played another inning before manager Buck Showalter removed him from the game.

HARPER TO DISABLED LIST

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper was hoping to a avoid a stint on the disabled list as a result of a left hand injury he sustained Friday, but no such luck.

The team placed him on 15-Day DL Sunday, retroactive to April 26, with a left thumb sprain.

Harper hurt his hand with a head-first slide into third base Friday night after hitting a bases-loaded triple in the third inning of Washington's 11-1 victory. He stayed in the game for an inning before he was replaced. He sat out Saturday's game, but he was said to be available for pinch hitting duties.

Harper went 2-for-2 and had had a career-high four RBIs on Friday night, giving him nine for the season as he lifted his batting average to .289. He has only one home run in 83 at-bats.

BLUE JAYS MAKE HISTORY, WIN GAME

The Toronto Blue Jays set a major league record by fielding a starting lineup with six players from the Dominican Republic Sunday at home against the Boston Red Sox.

The first four hitters in Toronto's lineup all were from the Dominican Republic: SS Jose Reyes, OFs Melky Cabrera and Jose Bautista and 1B Edwin Encarnacion.

Juan Francisco served as the designated hitter Sunday against Red Sox left-hander Jon Lester, batting sixth, and OF Moises Sierra batted seventh.

Right-hander Esmil Rogers is the seventh Dominican player on Toronto's 25-man roster.

Last season, the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers had starting lineups with five players from the Dominican Republic, which won the World Baseball Classic in March 2013.

The Jays won, 7-1.
