Why is Kelli Giddish Leaving ‘Law & Order: SVU’?

A specific reason has not been given for Giddish’s departure from the role of Detective Rollins, however showrunner David Graziano has offered a response to fans who were angered by the news.

Graziano commented on Giddish’s post with a crying emoji, which drew some criticism from the actor’s fans and in response the showrunner said: “You might take a moment to entertain the idea that things are more complex than they appear in a world of emojis and tweets.

“All I’ll say is Kelli has handled this with the most incredibly classy comportment.
