Parker, who sustained a left hamstring strain last week, has missed five of the Spurs’ last six games. Meanwhile, Leonard had X-rays taken on his sore right hand following Monday’s game vs. Portland, but no fracture was revealed.
Cory Joseph will start at point guard with Parker out, while Marco Belinelli and Manu Ginobili will see increased workloads in place of small forward Leonard.
The Spurs (17-8) are no stranger to playing without their stars. The defending champions are 4-2 without Parker starting this season and are 2-1 without Leonard.
Leonard is averaging 15.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game this year. Parker is averaging 16.0 points and 5.3 assists.
