Forward Kawhi Leonard was hurt late in the fourth quarter; coach Nick Nurse said after the game that Leonard suffered a jammed foot. Leonard appeared to be walking gingerly moments after fighting for position in the paint during a Raptors possession.
Leonard and Nurse both said that the injury does not appear to be serious.
Leonard posted a team-high 19 points and added six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
Any potential injury is a concern when it comes to the two-time All-Star. He missed all but nine games last season with the San Antonio Spurs because of a lingering right quadriceps injury. The Raptors have rested Leonard twice this season to manage his workload.
In the games Leonard has played, he has shown his MVP-caliber talent. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year is averaging 26.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.0 steals for the Raptors.
The Raptors’ next game is a high-profile road matchup against the Lakers on Sunday night.
