Lake, a Republican, made the remarks at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and video of her comments has been shared to Twitter by the Republican Accountability Project.

The group describes itself as “Republicans & conservatives defending pro-democracy” and “holding accountable those who tried to overturn the election.”

Arizona’s Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs narrowly defeated Lake in the governor’s race but the former TV news anchor has filed a lawsuit challenging the result.

“To watch these, these evil b*******—can I say that here, is that all right?” Lake said in the video.

“To watch them steal this in broad daylight and if they think they are going to get away with it, they messed with the wrong b****. OK?” she added.

In a separate video shared to Twitter by PatriotTakes, which describes itself as “researchers monitoring and exposing right-wing extremism,” a crowd can be seen cheering Lake.

Newsweek has reached out to the Hobbs campaign for comment.

Lake has filed a lawsuit that argues that Republicans in Arizona’s Maricopa County, which is the state’s most populous, were disproportionately affected by balloting problems on election day because they outvoted Democrats by three to one in the election on November 8.

The suit also claims that hundreds of thousands of votes were cast illegally and Lake is asking that the results in Maricopa County be thrown out and that a new election take place there or that she be declared the winner.

On Thursday, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson ruled that Lake’s team will be permitted to inspect some ballots from the election in the county that will include 50 random “ballot-on-demand” printed ballots that were cast on election day, among others.

A lawyer for Hobbs called the claims in Lake’s lawsuit “rank speculation” in a court filing reported on Friday.

Alexis Danneman wrote: “Kari Lake lost the Governor’s race to Katie Hobbs by 17,117 votes.”

“In the face of this insurmountable margin, Lake brings a sprawling election contest, alleging everything from cyber hacking to Twitter mischief to intra-Republican warfare—all in an effort to sow distrust in Arizona’s election results,” the filing said.

Both Hobbs and Maricopa County have moved to dismiss Lake’s lawsuit and the matter will be considered by Judge Thompson on Monday.

Lake has previously echoed Trump’s unfounded claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him through fraud and other irregularities.

Christina Bobb, an attorney for Donald Trump for President 2024—Trump’s new campaign—told former Trump adviser Steve Bannon on Friday that she wasn’t worried if Hobbs is inaugurated as governor.

“As long as Kari Lake wins her contest, she’ll be inaugurated,” Bobb said. “And whether Katie Hobbs has to step down or what the situation is, I’m not too worried about that.”

Bobb added that Lake would “hopefully be the governor of Arizona.”
