4,025 signatures were required for the rapper and independent candidate to get onto the ballot in his newly adopted state.

“[Independent candidate] Mr. Brock Pierce submitted signatures for verification. Mr. Kanye West did not,” Will Dinneen, spokesman for the Wyoming Secretary of State’s office confirmed to local publication the Casper Star Tribune.

West filed the paperwork to get on the Wyoming ballot on August 17, but it was reported that his petitioners were promising signatures for West will take votes away from Democratic candidate Joe Biden and help Donald Trump’s re-election bid.

He also failed to qualify in Ohio, with the Buckeye State the fourth one to reject his paperwork after Wisconsin, Montana, and Illinois.

The “Jesus Walks” star also withdrew his bid to appear on New Jersey’s presidential ballot earlier this month when state officials challenged the validity of the signatures on his nominating petition.

Despite these setbacks, West has qualified for the ballot in five other states—Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Vermont. He also has pending petitions in a number of other states.

The rapper’s bid for the White House has been met with seemingly endless hurdles and bouts of controversy this summer. From his disastrous campaign rally in which he said Harriet Tubman never freed slaves to the more recent fake signature debacle. He was also experiencing a period of duress marked by bizarre Twitter rants relating to his bipolar disorder, according to his wife Kim Kardashian.

West has even accused Democrats of trying to keep him off the ballot and interfering with his campaign by spying.

His campaign is largely considered to be a spoiler campaign to aid Trump’s re-election bid in November.

Last week, West was in hot water with actress Kirsten Dunst after he used a photo of her in his campaign materials without her permission.

“What’s the message here, and why am I apart of it?” the 38-year-old Fargo actress replied on Twitter.

Kardashian posted a photo with West to Instagram Monday during a recent family trip to Dunton River Camp, Colorado.

The photo comes days after the rapper shared a video on Twitter of the pair kissing during what appeared to be a Sunday Service concert.
