Kansas Freshman Cheick Diallo Cleared To Practice Status With Ncaa Still Uncertain

Diallo’s status is under review while the NCAA looks into his three-plus years at Our New American in Centereach, N.Y, but he will be able to open practice with the team on Friday. He had previously been kept away from team activities.

According to SI.com, Our New American High School is under an “extended evaluation period” regarding its academic requirements.

The 6-9 McDonald’s All-American is expected to compete for a starting spot in the Jayhawks lineup. That is, of course, if he’s cleared to play.
