Foucher returned to the CrossFit Games on Saturday to participate in events only three hours after suffering an Achilles’ tendon injury.

During the box jumps on Event 3, Foucher lost her balance and said “something felt like it snapped.”
“It sounds like I probably have a partial Achilles’ tear,” Foucher said via CrossFit.com. “I literally thought someone had, like, dropped a barbell on my foot, that’s why I looked behind me. Like, I thought something rolled on my foot.
“I know it’s the last time I’m going to be out there so I want to just do as much as I can.”
She returned for Events 4 and 5 wearing a large black boot and received huge cheers from the crowd.
This could possibly be the end of Foucher’s competitive career, and if it is, she showed the heart and determination that allowed her to become one of the best CrossFit athletes ever.
