With one simple Facebook post after their win over the Colts in the AFC Championship Game — ‘Growing Pats’, the clever parody of the ‘Growing Pains’ theme song — he became the most likeable Patriot. The inspiration was simple: Edelman was just a fan of the sitcom.

“I’ve got a good team behind me,” Edelman said. “We always bounce ideas off each other of things we did when we were younger. I watched that show, they watched that show, so we did something.
“The fans follow my social media stuff and they have fun. It’s just a way to communicate and interact those who support you.”
The video not only went viral well beyond the NFL, but its brilliance caused a lot of more casual fans to side more toward New England for Super Bowl XLIX.
Edelman just has two words for all of them: “Go Pats.”
