Bristol County Judge E. Susan Garsh instructed the jurors that they should leave the room if the trial is discussed during the broadcast of Sunday’s game. Jurors are generally required to abstain from consuming any media relating to the trial while it is ongoing.

“I am not going to forbid you from watching the Super Bowl Sunday if that’s something that’s really important to you,” Garsh said.
The trial is taking place in Fall River, Mass., about 40 miles south of the Patriots’ home in Foxboro, Mass. New England will take on the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday.
