But 2015 didn’t exactly get off to a great start either. Prior to Baylor’s Cotton Bowl matchup against Michigan State, Gordon took to Twitter to let t be known that he thought the College Football Playoff Selection Committee got it wrong.
The problem for Gordon is that, well, Baylor didn’t win. They lost, and in crushing fashion. Michigan State blocked a field goal that would have put Baylor up nine and proceeded to demolish the kicker in the process. Connor Cook then threw a touchdown pass with 17 seconds left to win the game for the Spartans.
As for TCU, maybe Gordon was right. The Horned Frogs took Ole Miss to the woodshed in the Peach Bowl, dismantling the Rebels 42-3.
