Diaz made his pro debut in 2012. “JoJo” is a former WBC-NABF and WBO-NABO featherweight champion. He lost his first pro fight in 2018 when he challenged Gary Russell Jr. for the WBC featherweight title. He won the IBF super-featherweight title in 2020 against Tevin Farmer.

Zepeda made his pro debut in 2015. A former WBF Mexican lightweight champion, he won the WBA Continental Americas lightweight title in 2021. Zepeda’s last fight was a unanimous decision win over Rene Alvarado in May.
