Jose Bautista is accustomed to drawing walks: He has over 900 in his career, and has led the American League twice. So drawing a walk is nothing new for Bautista, but drawing a walk and ending up on second? Well, that’s something.
On Saturday during the Mariners-Blue Jays throwdown, Bautista drew a walk, and then, kept on walking, and then sprinted to second base.

That’s excellent awareness from Bautista, and a complete lack of it from the Mariners. Seattle manager Scott Servais’ reaction says it all.
Two-out walks are killer, especially in a one-run ballgame. Luckily for the Mariners, they worked out of the jam, but ended up falling to the Jays 4-2.
