In a playoff with Daniel Berger, Spieth holed his third shot out of the bunker for a birdie and launched his club in the air.

The shot might have looked familiar to some. Spieth holed a shot out of the bunker for a tournament win before. Now, the first and 10th wins of Spieth’s Tour career are defined by holed bunker shots.

He beat David Hearn and Zach Johnson on the fifth hole of a playoff to win the John Deere Classic when he was 19 years old.

Spieth joins Tiger Woods as the only two players under the age of 24 with double-digit PGA Tour wins.

Heading back to the 18th again for the playoff, Berger and Spieth both struggled off the tee. Berger’s first shot hit left off the fairway and landed 164 yards away. Spieth’s ricocheted off of a tree and put him 230 yards back. Spieth found the front trap again on the 18th with his second shot and it looked like he was in trouble.

With Berger landing just off the edge of the green, he had to make a long putt to force a second playoff hole.

But Spieth beat him to it.

“For the bunker shot to go in, that was awesome,” Spieth said on CBS after the win. “I don’t know if I’ll ever have a moment like that again.”
