On Friday, the NBA named Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson as its Western Conference Rookie of the Month. Clarkson is the first Laker to win the award.

The Missouri product is certainly worthy of the honor, as he’s been one of the few promising stories from the Lakers’ season. From the NBA’s release: 

Clarkson was originally drafted 46th overall by the Wizards in the 2014 draft before being traded to Los Angeles for cash considerations last June.
