Lucroy attended President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday as a guest of Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson. Apparently, the politicians there made their jobs seem pretty tough — like, playing-a-certain-division-rival tough.

“No way I’m dealing with that,” Lucroy told MLB.com when asked Wednesday about becoming a politician. “That’s too much for me. I thought it was tough playing the Cardinals.”

Lucroy was invited in recognition for his charitable efforts in Wisconsin.
