Stewart served as the celebrity host of SummerSlam, doing comedic bits in between each match. But during Rollins’ “Title vs. Title” match with John Cena, a match that was highly entertaining, Stewart ran down to the ring and got involved.

The match was trending toward a stellar finish, and this was — while not as egregious as David Arquette winning the WCW title — not exactly the most ideal way to finish a championship match.
The Stewart/Rollins thing worked really well as a comedic vehicle, but not as part of progressing a storyline.
