Top-Tier Studs:
Steve Stricker (DK: $9,800, FD: $9,300) Stricker for $9,800? What has the world come to? This field is so bad that old man Steve is the fifth highest priced player. However, to his defense, Striker is a multi-time winner of this event and his game fits the course perfectly. Striker is going to give himself a chance off the tee and nail his short approach shots. He enters the tournament in good form and another high finish at this event should be in order. Charley Hoffman (DK: $9,700, FD: $8,900) Texas Charley is in great form right now and has been a birdie machine over the past month with 15.3 birdies/72 holes, which is sixth best in the field. His record at this event is spotty, but he hasn’t played here since 2013m so I’m not too worried about it. I also think he might go lower owned than some of the other guys in this range, which makes him an attractive target for both cash games and GPPs. Other to Consider: Daniel Berger
Mid-Tier Targets:
Bryson DeChambeau (DK: $7,800, FD: $6,600) DeChambeau might finally be starting to realize his massive potential. He is playing excellent golf with three straight top-26 finishes. He closed out last week with an impressive 65, and I like him to carry that momentum over to another weak field event this week. He is averaging 13.2 birdies/72 holes over the past month, and he has the raw talent to win on the PGA Tour. I think an event like this one is a good place for him to break through. Curtis Luck (DK: $7,100, FD: $6,000) Luck is another young guy who has a massive amount of talent. He is also trending in the right direction with a top-five and top-20 finish in his past two weeks. In terms of talent I would put Luck in the top 15 in the field, and he is priced at only $7,100. He is putting up an impressive 13 birdies/72, which is better than almost everyone else in this price tier. Others to consider: Grayson Murray (GPP), Kevin Tway
Value/Punt Plays:
Michael Kim (DK:$6,900, FD: $5,800) The pickings are very slim once we get below $7,000. Kim is another guy that is trending in the right direction and has been a solid cut maker all season long. He has 11.8 birdies/72 over the last month, which is better than that vast majority of golfers priced in this range. I like Kim to make the cut and make enough birdies along the way to exceed his value. Ryan Brehm (DK: $6,500, FD: $5,200) Brehm is priced the stone-cold minimum, and I will be playing a lot of him this week. He has 13 birdies/72 over the last month, which is easily the best in the value range. Brehm has been consistently making cuts all year, and I think that he should easily make enough birdies to pay off his salary. He will certainly make some bogies, but that’s fine, especially on DraftKings. Other to Consider: Seamus Power
