Abraham, in a statement released by the Cardinals, says he understands “the significance” of his actions and “is taking the necessary steps” to handle what he calls his “personal business.”

Abraham has been absent since the Cardinals opened training camp a week ago.
He says he is thankful for the support of his friends, family and “especially the Cardinals organization.”
Abraham says he hopes to rejoin the team in the near future.
