Matt DiBenedetto finished second, followed by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Austin Dillon and Jimmie Johnson.
Chase Elliot, who was voted as the fans’ favorite driver on the circuit, won each of the first two stages, but he got a flat tire and spun out to bring the caution flag, and that moved Ricky Stenhouse Jr. into the lead during the final stage.
Joey Logano took the lead late in the final stage and led 49 laps before Ryan Blaney took the lead with 12 laps to go. Alex Bowman then passed Logano, and it appeared Blaney would cruise to victory lane before a caution came out with six laps remaining.
Ross Chastain, who was the substitute driver in the No. 6 Koch Industries Ford for the injured Ryan Newman, had to go to pit row after spinning out.
Blaney, Harvick, Jimmy Johnson and Brad Keselowski were among the drivers who visited pit row. Logano was among the seven drivers who stayed on the track and took the lead without getting fresh tires.
The race went back to a green flag with two laps remaining, and Logano outpaced the field to the finish line.
“The caution a the end is something we needed to have,” Logano said from victory lane after the race. “Being able to stay out there and take the clean air was a huge deal.
“Being able to win the race that your sponsor is sponsoring is such a big deal.”
NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, who is a race analyst for Fox, asked Logano about the restart after the final caution after a day full of “wild restarts.”
“Like I said, I needed clean air to overcome the tires,” Logano said. “I got a good push from Ricky (Stenhouse), he pushed me out there a little bit which helped.”
Logano said that as drivers jockeyed for position behind him after the restart, it helped him stay ahead of the pack for the final push.
Kevin Harvick led the most laps on the day with 92, followed by Elliot’s 70. Logano led 54 laps.
Here are the final results.
