“The freaking 33 (Shepherd) came off the bottom and wiped us out,” Logano spotter Tab Boyd yelled over the team radio during the Lap 212 incident.

Logano was not happy about the incident, saying he got wrecked by the “slowest car on the track” and questioning whether Shepherd, 72, should have been in the race. Boyd also chimed in on Twitter, saying Shepherd should not have been in the race.

Shepherd apologized for the incident, but placed part of the blame on Logano and said the wreck had nothing to do with his age.
