Logano had the fastest speed in Friday’s final round of qualifying at the .75-mile, D-shaped track with a speed of 126.470 mph, which was slightly faster than Matt Kenseth, who clocked in at 126.357 mph.

“It is nice to have a good starting spot here,” Logano told NBC Sports. “If you are up front you can take care of your tires better through the first part of the race. That should help us with the first pit stall and we will go let it rip.”

Brad Keselowski starts on the inside of Row 2 as he looks to repeat as the Federated Auto Parts 400 race winner.

“I am really happy with the speed we have in race trim,” the No. 2 driver explained to NBC Sports. “It has good speed. We just have to keep working on it. It is an ever evolving target.”

Denny Hamlin, who tore the ACL in his right knee on Tuesday, will roll off from the 25th starting position. He will be joined on Row 13 with Clint Bowyer, who is currently holding the 16th and final spot in the Chase.

Also sitting on the Chase bubble, Kasey Kahne and Aric Almirola will begin the race from the 20th and 24th position, respectively.
