Dirt, Sunday’s Grand Marshal, passed along some interesting knowledge to the two drivers on how to conquer “Dirt-ona.” Although Harvick is a former Daytona 500 and Coke Zero 400 winner, the star of the upcoming movie, “Joe Dirt 2,” told him its OK if he didn’t know what he was doing and not to be embarrassed because “we were all rookies once.”

Dirt’s advice must have worked since neither driver was involved in a big wreck that took out 10 cars during Friday’s practice session.
