Biden’s willful ignorance toward China’s acts of economic aggression goes back decades. While serving in the Senate, he voted to grant the Communist regime “most favored nation” trading status, and later supported China’s admission into the World Trade Organization. Advocates claimed this would force China to play by the rules of international trade, but Beijing’s cheating remained as brazen as ever, and millions of American jobs were shipped across the Pacific.

As vice president, Biden was one of the administration’s top cheerleaders for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a poorly conceived trade deal that would have essentially replicated NAFTA’s disastrous provisions on a much grander scale.

The appeasement continues to this day. Earlier this month, the former vice president officially declared that he would have America rejoin the corrupt World Health Organization (WHO), which played an active role in spreading China’s early disinformation about COVID-19.

“Americans are safer when America is engaged in strengthening global health,” Biden wrote, adding that he “will rejoin the WHO and restore our leadership on the world stage” on his “first day as president.”

Biden’s public reassurances to Beijing came after President Trump took the bold but necessary decision to withdraw the U.S. from the WHO, arguing that we should not be underwriting organizations that care more about appeasing repressive dictatorships than saving lives.

“China has total control over the World Health Organization, despite only paying $40 million per year compared to what the United States has been paying, which is approximately $450 million a year,” the president explained in May. “Because they have failed to make the requested and greatly needed reforms, we will be terminating our relationship with the World Health Organization and redirecting those funds to other…deserving, urgent, global public health needs.”

The WHO’s shocking cooperation with propagandists in Beijing is no longer the subject of debate. In mid-January, the organization promulgated China’s made-up study about coronavirus pathology, claiming—without a shred of real evidence—that COVID-19 can’t be spread between humans.

“Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China,” the WHO wrote in the infamous tweet.

Later, the organization criticized President Trump’s life-saving restrictions on travelers from China, urging countries throughout the world to keep their borders open as the virus spread swiftly and silently from one hotspot to the next. Beijing and its favorite Washington lobbyist Joe Biden, meanwhile, also scrutinized the president’s emergency initiatives, insisting that the travel restrictions represented a “xenophobic” overreaction to the emerging pandemic. Renowned disease experts, such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, have since praised the effectiveness of the early travel ban, noting that it helped save countless American lives and prevented a far more aggressive spread of the killer virus.

Today, the world knows a great deal about China’s coronavirus propaganda campaign and the catastrophic impact it had on the world. According to a study published by the University of Southampton, the spread of COVID-19 could have been reduced by an astounding 95 percent if only China had acted to curb the epidemic a mere three weeks earlier than it did—a crucial window of opportunity that the Communist regime squandered by trying to cover up its emergence. Sadly, we also know that the WHO failed to protect the doctors and scientists who first raised alarms about the virus in Wuhan; often, the WHO didn’t even take their early warnings seriously.

Despite all of these well-established facts, Joe Biden is determined to reverse President Trump’s common-sense decision to withdraw from the WHO—a move that would give our rivals in China an undeserved reprieve from accountability. It’s perfectly consistent with Biden’s decades-long record of appeasing and carrying water for China, which at this point has grown extensive enough that it ought to trigger a federal investigation.

China must be held responsible for its pernicious role in spreading COVID-19—but Joe Biden would never exact justice upon his comrades in Beijing.
