During his weekend retreat at Camp David, Biden and his granddaughter Naomi played the racing video game, and he won. Naomi shared a video to Instagram that showed Biden competing against her on the Arcade GP DX machines, complete with chairs and steering wheels.

Biden sat on the right as Luigi, and Naomi is Princess Peach on the left, GameRant noted. Despite not being at the same gaming level as his granddaughter, the commander-in-chief came out victorious.

“Secret service made an exception and let him drive himself!!!!” Naomi joked on her Instagram Story, since the president is rarely allowed to drive for security reasons, as per CNBC. “A little rusty but he still won (barely),” she added.

Biden told reporters on Friday that he and his family planned to relax during the long weekend. “We’re going to be up at Camp David for Valentine’s Day,” he said, adding that they planned to “just hang out with the family and do what we always do.”

Camp David is located in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains, 60 miles north of Washington, and has multiple guest cabins for the president to entertain.

This isn’t the first time Biden has entered the gaming world. During the 2020 presidential election, Biden had an “Animal Crossing: New Horizon” island set up, engaging with Biden-Harris supporters from all over the country and encouraging gamers to vote. On the island, there were flowers arranged in the shape of the American flag, along with ice cream carts.

Naomi also treated Biden to some presidential clothing to celebrate his first Presidents Day as the president of the United States.

“We bought him some swag since it’s Presidents’ Day weekend and he’s ’literally’ President,” she tweeted. “JOE BIDEN / COMMANDER IN CHIEF,” the jacket’s badge read on one side, with the presidential seal and a cursive “Air Force One” on the other.

The tan Camp David baseball cap also had a personal touch, with the word “POP” embroidered on the back, “just to make sure the job title doesn’t get to his head,” Naomi cheekily tweeted.

Ahead of the January 20 inauguration, Naomi gushed about what President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will do once they take office. “They are so excited, they have so many plans, and it’s just a time in their lives and our lives and in America where we have the opportunity to do so much and to do things differently,” she said, according to TODAY.
