The comedian let rip on the former president during his monologue on Thursday’s show, suggesting Trump has finally “lost it.”

Trump’s supporters were anticipating big news when he stated that on December 15 he had a “major announcement.” As it turned out, that announcement was the launch of his new NFT collectible cards.

The images on the trading cards show artwork of Trump pertaining to moments from his life and career. Fallon, like many others reacting on social media, seemed to not believe what he was seeing.

“Even the most die-hard Trump supporters were like ‘OK, now I’m worried,’” Fallon said at the top of The Tonight Show. “Even the MyPillow guy was going ‘I think Trump’s lost it?’ If you saw that at 2am would you be like ‘Am I having an Ambien dream?’

“You know your campaign isn’t going well when your reelection strategy is, ‘Maybe people will like me as a Pokémon?’” Fallon said imitating Trump’s voice, before adding: “Trump was like ‘These cards like classified documents, you gotta catch them all.’”

Fallon wasn’t the only late-night host to mock Trump’s “major announcement.”

Stephen Colbert mocked Trump’s new cards with a similar Pokémon theme, calling them “Gropemon cards.” Colbert also suggested the trading cards were the “saddest” thing he’s ever seen.

After watching Trump’s ad in his monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host said: “It’s like QAnon meets QVC.”

Kimmel then went through some of the trading cards one by one to mock them, pointing out Sheriff Trump, Hotshot Hollywood Trump, Tuxedo Trump and more. “This has to be the most pathetic announcement of all time,” Kimmel said.

Seth Meyers made it the subject of his popular segment A Closer Look on Late Night With Seth Meyers, and also referred to the announcement as “pathetic.”

“You’ve got to love the timing, a former president launching his NFT line the same week a crypto scammer gets arrested,” he said referring to Sam Bankman-Fried, the former FTX boss. The timing of Trump’s announcement was pointed out by a few of the late-night hosts.

It wasn’t just comedians who were unimpressed by Trump’s announcement, as his former adviser Steve Bannon said he “can’t do this anymore.”

Bannon called for those responsible for the announcement to be “fired today” on Thursday’s episode of his War Room podcast.

“He’s one of the greatest presidents in history, but I gotta tell you, whoever […] business partner [or] anybody on the comms team and anybody at Mar-a-Lago […] and I love the folks down there, but we’re at war—they ought to be fired today,” Bannon said in reaction to seeing Trump’s ad for the NFT product.
