Johnson said he meant to hit the call button but instead accidentally FaceTimed his wife from victory lane.
“She was not so happy to be on FaceTime (with) other people looking (at) the phone,” Johnson said in his post-race news conference via NASCAR.com.
“I think the signal went out or she hung up, one of the two.”
Chandra can’t be too upset. Johnson notched his third victory of the season and recorded his 200th top-five and 300th top-10 finish of his career.
He will bring his kids home a very interesting trophy, but he might want to grab his wife some flowers, too.
