The Bruins typically host a bonfire before the game against their crosstown rivals, but a student protest put a stop to that. The protest – which was organized in the face of 5 percent tuition hikes over the next five years – made it impossible to light the bonfire.

Mora took it in stride, and got the crowd of UCLA fans amped up anyway.
“We don’t need a friggin’ fire to get it f—ing turned up,” Mora yelled to the crowd at the rally.
